“Lonely, I’m Mr. Lonely”… you know the song. So during the pandemic, one of the ways I found to get through the rough times was to go out and feed the fish in our pond. We have a pond fed by a year-round stream. When I started I had about thirty 6 to 8 inch natural fish, and when I went out the pond would just churn with excitement. So this went on, and soon after I had a family of ducks move in and it became more of a party. Then to my astonishment, I had a family of otters move in as well. Well now things were really moving and I felt I was the grand party maestro. However, I soon started noticing a significant drop in the number of fish, and of course, to my disappointment the otters dumped me. Then the fish were totally gone and the ducks dumped me. Now I feel like the teenager who had a party that no one came to. So I started singing the song, and that is when my wife threatened to leave me.
