So in order to train Cooper better, my wife got a shock collar. Cooper has a difficult time with cars on the road and dogs on tvand no matter what we do and say he goes ballistic and wants to attack them. Attacking the dogs on tv is annoying but not a big deal. Attacking a moving car would be disastrous. So with the collar my wife has been able to train him. She was talking to me when she commented how well this device works and how well Cooper responds to all her commands. She feels like now Cooper is much more manageable.
I look over and she is holding the shock collar and I notice she is looking at me and smiling as if to say, just think how much easier the house work would be if your husband listened to every command?"
I immediately commented that I was going to go scrub the kitchen floor.

My wife and I got to get away for 24 hours so we went down to Clarksburg to taste some good wine. I seem to only make bad wine, but it is effective in deterring rodents around the house. Anyway, we have come to the conclusion that no matter how wonderful your children are, they are even more wonderful when you drink any wine.

Folks, my brain cells are depleted so I found this story from 2015 back when we had giant lizards in the house and I used to have to go buy crickets to feed them.
I know you are tired of hearing these stories, so you may not want to read any further.
The things I am still learning in my sixties, just amaze me. For instance, crickets don’t chirp until they reach a certain age. Now that the lizards are bigger I order the bigger (older) crickets, and so they all chirp. The other thing is they can throw their chirp so when they get out in the house they are extremely hard to locate.
When you have several crickets around the house it makes it very challenging to keep the wife content. I have suggested she have a glass of wine so as not to be annoyed by the sound. She suggested...oh that is right, this is a PG blog. I can’t print what she suggested.

Well it seems Cooper is much more talented than I thought. I mean, the dog is smart. He obeys commands and minds real well. I have seen him do amazing things. When we play fetch, I have seen him use his front paw to push the ball sideways just to prolong the game. Well now I found out he has done the impossible. According to my son, he is the one who has been opening the pineapple cans and eating the fruit and then hiding the cans around the yard and house. The other day I opened up the freezer to find a tub of ice cream open with the spoon still in it. According to my son it was Cooper and not him. All those cans behind the air conditioner outside, it turns out it was Cooper all along. I guess I am thankful to find out my son wasn’t the culprit, so now I will make the can opener cabinet dog proof and order a whole case of pineapple.
